Rihanna Gears Up for the Grammys
Gearing up for the biggest night in the music business, Rihanna was front and center at the star-studded Verizon & BlackBerry Grammy Party on Friday night (February 6).
Held at at Boulevard 3, the "Umbrella" songstress mingled with guests including the night's host, Timbaland, before taking the stage for a performance.
In related news, the Barbadian beauty is also keeping herself busy by graciously helping a 5-year-old New York City girl named Jasmina find a bone marrow donor.
"When I saw the video of Jasmina it broke my heart. It is so unfair that for a black patient it's so much harder to find a bone marrow match," the singer told People magazine. "Jasmina has acute leukemia and she needs a bone marrow transplant to live."
The second time that she's helped with such a cause, Rihanna adds: "Leukemia is the most common disease children in the U.S. die of and we need to change that. I urge everyone to sign up as a bone marrow donor with DKMS. If we have more donors, we can save more children like Jasmina."
