Lindsay Lohan released from jail

This video is a mosaic of the best pictures of Lindsay Lohan, the troubled, jailed, drug-addicted American celebrity who is the heartthrob of millions of her fans.

For those who are eagerly looking for news on her jail term and release, here is the latest scoop on the former teen sensation’s tryst with drug-and-alcohol-stricken destiny.

Various news media report that Lindsay Lohan is released from jail on Friday night after spending around 15 hours behind bars for evidence of another failed drug test.

The 'Mean Girls' star Lohan, 24, was led handcuffed from a Beverly Hills courtroom early on Friday morning for a third time in three years when a judge found evidence of substance abuse that makes her a criminal, and ordered Lohan, to be kept in prison until an October 22 hearing, but his decision was later reversed by a supervisor and Lohan paid a $300,000 bail to walk free again.

The former teen idol and star of films like Freaky Friday, Lohan, now released, was in the Century Regional Detention Facility in the Los Angeles suburb of Lynwood just before midnight, according to the celebrity website TMZ.

In late July and August, the Mean Girls actress served two weeks of a 90-day jail sentence and then 22 days in drug rehabilitation for violating probation on charges of drunk driving and cocaine possession.

However, Lohan's release cannot be termed as being let free unconditionally, as she will be required to wear an ankle alcohol monitor for nearly a month and she cannot go anywhere that alcohol is the main thing that is being sold.

The Hollywood actress and singer Lindsay Lohan is due back in court on Oct 22, when the judge who curtly sent her to jail will decide what her punishment will be for failing a drug test roughly two weeks after he released her early from rehab.

'Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn't a jail sentence. She's being held by court order until her hearing,' contactmusic.com quoted jail sources as saying before Lohan was released.

Lohan walked free Friday night after posting a $300,000 bail, after Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley appealed to Judge Elden S. Fox's to remand the actress in custody without bail until October 22.
