68th Golden Globes: Best TV Actress and Actor Are Katey Sagal and Steve Buscemi

The first winner revealed at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards is Katey Sagal. The "Sons of Anarchy" star won over Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer" and last year's winner Julianna Margulies of "The Good Wife" in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama.

"Thank you Hollywood Foreign Press," Seagal began her thank-you speech. "You have always been so sweet and kind to me. Thanks to all my cast and crew.
Thanks to my manager of 30 years. OMG, this is wild. I have to thank the writers of 'Sons of Anarchy' its those words that keep us there."

French-German miniseries "Carlos" then claimed a victory in the Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, beating HBO's three nominees including "The Pacific". However, the cable compensated the loss in the next category which is Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama. Steve Buscemi is lauded for his portrayal of corrupt Atlantic City politician Enoch "Nucky" Thompson in "Boardwalk Empire".

"First of all I have to thank table 114. You guys are a lot of fun. I want to thank everybody at HBO for the tremendous support you have given to this show. I hope we do it for years and years and years. It's saying 'please wrap up already?'," the actor joked. "I want to say to Tootie my nephew, he's 4, and he left me a message, 'Uncle Steven wish me luck!' "

Before Buscemi got on stage, "Glee" star Chris Colfer received his first Golden Globe from Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

"I think I just dropped my heart between Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore!," the gleeful actor said. "I can't believe this. I have to thank Ryan Murphy for being my fairy godfather. Most importantly to all the amazing kids who watch our show and the kids who are told no or who are told they can't be who they are. Screw those kids!"
