A magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit the Ludlow area at 8:18 p.m. Friday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was centered 16 miles west-northwest of Ludlow and 35 miles east of Barstow; it was felt as far away as Los Angeles and San Diego.
A 2.4 and two 2.3 aftershocks hit within the following 15 minutes.
The graph to the right shows 120 seconds of activity from the 15 monitoring stations closest to the epicenter.
KCAL-TV said it has not received any reports of injury or major damage.
