PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) Police and doctors say the death toll from an overnight car bombing in northwest Pakistan has risen to 29. The blast has unnerved a region already dangerously on edge following the attacks on India's commercial capital. About 100 people were also wounded Friday.
LUDLOW, Calif. (AP) A moderate earthquake has struck a sparsely populated area of California's Mojave Desert. The shaking could be felt from San Diego to Los Angeles on Friday night, but there are no immediate reports of damage. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake had a magnitude of 5.1.
